AN Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday ordered that one Hussein Isah, 31, be kept in police custody over alleged rape of two minors.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Abdulhamid Lawal, who did not take Isa’s plea, ordered that the defendant be kept in police custody, pending advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
He adjourned the case until February 19 for mention.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Sgt. Olubu Apata told the court that the defendant committed the offence on February 1 at Ilasa-Ekiti.
Apata said the offence contravened Section 31(2) of the Child Right Law of Ekiti State, 2012.
