Man held for attacking wife with cutlass

POLICE in Ondo State have  confirmed the arrest of a member of the Road Transport Employers Association (RTEAN) Shuaib Kalejaye who allegedly inflicted machete wounds on his wife Olabisi and ran away.

Kalejaye was said to have attacked his wife because she reportedly wanted out of the marriage.

For over three months Kalejaye holed up in a riverine community before he was fished out, it was learnt.

Police spokesman Tee-Leo Ikoro, said Kalejaye has been transferred to police headquarters.
