A 31-year old man identified as Kennedy Iyawe has been sentenced to nine months imprisonment for stealing 40 crates of drinks.
Iyawe was said to have just been released having been sentenced to prison twice for various offences.
He was arraigned on May 31st, 2019 on two count charges but pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The convict was said to have collected the drinks worth N78, 000 from one Josephine Ehigie and failed to remit returns.

Police Prosecutor, ASP Patrick Agbonifo, called two witnesses but the defendant did not call any witness.
Presiding Magistrate, Ivie Akhere, found Iyawe guilty of the two count charges and sentenced him accordingly.
Akhere said Iyawe has not shown any repentance having been to prison twice and slammed nine months imprisonment on him without an option of fine.
