Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina state is expected to attend as special guest of honor, the 2020 Science and Technology Expo expected to kick start today in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The Nation recalls that the Minister of State for Science and Technology, Mohammed Abdullahi had last week, invited the Governor to attend the Science and Technology fair, expected to bring together innovators and entrepreneurs in the field of science and technology to converge in Abuja by March 16-20
Also speaking about the participation of the state in the coming expo, the Katsina State’s Commissioner for science and Technology, Rabe Nasir, said the participation of the state in the science fare dates back to 2015 since the inception of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
He said the state had benefited immensely in their participation of the numerous technology fairs previously, not only through exposure of the delegates to latest innovations and modern tool fabrication and by extension the creation of employment opportunities and income for her teeming population.
Katsina state is expected to sponsor 12 delegates drawn from winners in the local contests and exhibitions conducted amongst vocational schools and tertiary institutions in the state, to this year’s Science and Technology fair in Abuja
