MASSOB fixes Nov 26 for Ojukwu’s 8th memorial anniversary

Leader of Biafra Independence Movement and founder of Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (BIM-MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has disclosed that preparations for the celebration of the 8th memorial anniversary of the demise of Biafra warlord, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu had commenced.

He said the ceremony is expected to hold on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Ojukwu Memorial Library in new Owerri, Imo State capital.

A statement issued in Owerri on Thursday, by Uwazuruike’s media assistant, Chris Mocha, said Uwazuruike paid a glowing tribute to the late warlord, whom he described as the greatest Igbo man that ever lived.

Uwazuruike disclosed that the former senior special Assistant (SSA) to the immediate past President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan on diaspora matters and widow of the late Biafran icon, Bianca Ojukwu among other important dignitaries are expected to grace the epoch-making event.

He added that the memorial ceremony will also feature cultural dance troupe and masquerades from Anambra and Abia states.

He emphasized that the struggle to emancipate the Igbo race is a just course backed by non-violence and the United Nation’s rights of the indigenous people to self-determination.
