The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwisi, Ojaja II has named Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State the Obapero of Ife-Odua, Special Adviser to the governor on Media, Publicity and Public Enlightenment, Zailani Baffa has said.
The title which means “the peacemaker”, will be confered on the governor in the next few weeks.
Baffa said the Ooni announced this award when he visited the governor in Abuja recently.

Baffa stated that the monarch extolled the good virtues of Matawalle as a detribalised leader and politician, pointing out that his good intention was responsible for his success in bringing peace to Zamfara State.
The Ooni said that the quality of Matawalle’s leadership is worth emulating by all the governors because he has not only proved to be an able leader to his people by restoring peace to the state but also a worthy leader to others as he now serves as a bridge-builder.
Matawalle thanked the monarch for the title and promised to be in Ile-Ife soon to be formally bestowed with the title.
