HOUSE of Representatives member Olajide Jimoh (Lagos Mainland Constituency) yesterday urged All Progressives Congress (APC) members to be wary of mischief makers bent on causing disaffection, division and disunity in the constituency.
He slammed those behind a malicious video circulating on social media platforms, particularly on Facebook and Whatsapp that he was fond of disrespecting party elders.
Jimoh said the falsehood would collapse, adding that as a serious minded lawmaker and a public administrator, whose concern was contributing to national development, economic growth and democratic improvement, he had urged the constituency to ignore the fabrication.
The legislator said in a statement in Lagos that he decided to make some clarifications to keep the records straight and calm constituents’ frayed nerves.
Jimoh said: “The allegations made by Seun Awolesi in the video are not just false, but also maliciously so. My records as a lawmaker are in the public domain for any discerning mind to see.

“The puerile allegations that I have insulted one of the leaders in Lagos Mainland politics, Baba Alao Anisere, cannot only be false, but also a disingenuous attempt to create unnecessary division and is hereby denied in totality.
“In a display of his utter ignorance, Awolesi alleged that I have not provided palliatives for my constituents during the COVID19 pandemic.
