FRANCE Ligue 1 side Lorient officially confirmed signing of Nigeria forward Terem Moffi from Belgian Jupiler Pro League side KV Kortrijk on a four-year deal, with the fee believed to be between 6m Euros and 8m Euros.

The 21-year-old, who had Scottish giants Glasgow Ranger gunning for his signature, took the Belgian First Division by storm in the second half of last season and had been at the heart of Kortrijk’s attack, scoring four goals in seven league appearances prior to the season ending prematurely due to the COVID-19.

“I am very honoured to wear the Lorient colours and to play in Ligue 1,” Moffi told Lorient official website fclweb.fr

“I have worked a lot in recent seasons to get this wonderful opportunity. I’m joining a high quality group, with talented players, and it’s up to me now to show my qualities.

“I can’t wait to make my debut with FC Lorient and make my contribution to this club which has placed its trust in me.”

Les Merlus manager Christophe Pelissier said Moffi’s physical play, speed and technique were the ingredients he needed to boost his attack.
