Mohammed Fawehinmi interred besides father

Mohammed, son of the renowned human rights activist, Gani Fawehinmi, was on Friday buried in Ondo town, Ondo West local government area.

The remains of Mohammed were interred beside his father and grandmother at the family’s country home.

Among those in attendance were former Governor Olusegun Mimiko; National Chairman of the National Conscience Party, Tanko Yinusa, friends and members of the civil society groups.

Officiating minister, Prophet Stephen Robert, who described death as a necessary end for every human, said late Mohammed stood against injustice.

Mimiko said the deceased stood against injustice and never allowed his disability to weigh him down.

He said: “Mohammed resembled Gani Fawehinmi in everything. He stood against justice and helped the masses.

‘He will be remembered for uncommon love for members of his family and the people”.

There were tributes from members of the civil society, family members and kinsmen.
