Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Nasarawa State David Umbugadu has announced Yahaya Usman Ohinohyi as his running mate.

Ohinohyi is a two-term former member of Nasarawa State House of Assembly representing the Umesha/Ugya State Constituency of Toto Local Government Area of the state.

The governorship candidate said all the stakeholders were involved in the consultations that arrived at Yahaya Usman Ohinohyi from the western part of the state.

Umbugadu, who is a two-term former member of the House of Representatives, said he is in the governorship race of the state purely on his records as a member of the House of Representatives.

Accepting his nomination, the deputy governorship candidate Yahaya Usman Ohinohyi said he will support the candidate and the party to defeat the ruling party.
