Nasarawa records seven COVID-19 deaths

Nasarawa Governor Abdullahi Sule has confirmed the death of seven COVID-19 patients in the state.

Sule, who disclosed this at the COVID-19 expanded security meeting in Government House Lafia, also said the State has recorded 177 cases with 87 discharged, 53 responding to treatment while 30 are on self isolation.

He said the rising number of confirmed cases of the pandemic in Karu and Keffi local governments have become a worrisome despite measures taken by the government to contain its spread.

He explained the results of confirmed cases, especially from Karu Local Government Area, bordering the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Keffi LGA were frightening.

The Governor, who lauded traditional rulers, security and health personnel, journalists and other stakeholders for their efforts toward containing the pandemic, said that the State Government has received 35 trucks of food items as COVID 19 palliatives donations from individuals and groups.
