NB Plc affirms commitment to sports at 75

Nigeria Breweries Plc has affirmed its commitment to sports development in Nigeria just as its marks its 75th  anniversary on November 16.

Speaking at a media parley to mark the 75th anniversary of Nigeria Breweries Plc, Corporate Affairs Director Sade Morgan said the company would continue to fulfil its corporate social responsibility with continuous support for sports.

“We want to ensure that our commitment to Nigeria remains and we will continue to support our youth in the area of sports and that is why we have been supporting the annual Maltina School Games as well as the National men’s football team Super Eagles. Our commitment to the UEFA Champions League (UCL) with our international partner Heineken has been unbroken in the last 10 years. We will continue with this tradition of giving back to the society and our pledges to raise the profile of sports through these sponsorships will remain,” she said, adding several programmes have been lined-up to mark the event while saying that the event would officially kick off on November 16.

For the Managing Director of NB Plc, Hans Essaadi, the company is committed to Nigeria in its entirety while pledging that in line with the idea of togetherness, efforts would be made to increase its presence economically across Nigeria.

Essaadi, however, lauded the Nigeria media for their unflinching support to the company in the last 75 years, while calling for more of their support.

In his remarks, the Chairman of NB Plc, Chief Kolawole Jamodu affirmed the company’s commitment to the Nigeria project while hoping that more investment would be embarked upon by the company in near future.
