The Ndigbo in Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) has said it is working hard to support the good work of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who has raised the bar for them in the state.
The group warmed those fomenting trouble to desist from the acts.
At a conferences in Lagos, Executive Coordinator, Ndigbo in APC in Lagos, Eze Uche Dimgba, said the unity of Ndigbo was paramount for its membersact”According to him, divisive elements infiltrating its rank would fail, warning them work to unite instead of promoting discord.
He cited the examples of Hon. Jude Idumogu, who allegedly claimed to be the Apex leader of Ndigbo to desist from parading himself in that capacity.
Dimgba said: “All Ndigbo in Lagos do hereby give Jude Idimogu seven days to writer a letter of apology to Engr. Joe Igbokwe and come back to position which was reserved for him or face imminent sack from the group.
“The Ndigbo in APC Lagos do hereby pass a vote of confidence on Igbokwe as our Apex leader being a tested and trusted leader.
“We advise Idimogu to stop parading himself forthwith as Apex leader of Ndigbo in APC Lagos and stop trying to divide us. Idimogu cannot destroy what took us 21 years to build. We are all solidly behind Igbokwe.
“Ndigbo in APC Lagos supports the leadership of Lagos APC chairman Alhaji Tajudeen Balogun, who gave us the mandate to unite as one body. ”
He recalled that it all started when Idimogu and some Ndigbo members gathered a group of people at the Ohanaeze Secretarial in Surulere to hatch the plan to divide Ndigbo.
“On seeing that everybody have lined up for photographs , Eze Nwanchukwu and Anselm Odoka raised the hands of Hon. Idimogu and proclaimed him Apex leader, they immediately posted pictures on social media.
” Immediately, the Ohanaeze President, Chief Solomon Ogbonna saw the trending news on social media about the purported endorsement by the Ohanaeze, he quickly disclaim the show of shame and exonerated himself and Ohanaeze from the act,” he said.[8/12, 4:34 PM] Musa Odoshimokhe
