NGO to feed 1000 Children during Christmas

A Non-Governmental Organisation, Blue Baby Support Initiative is set to feed 1000 indigent children in its forthcoming BBSI Children Christmas Fiesta.

This was disclosed in a statement made available to The Nation by the foundation proprietress, Aisha Dania Ogieriakhi on Wednesday.

According to her, the fiesta will hold on December 29, 2019 at Liberty Stadium in Ibadan, Capital of Oyo State.

“One of our most exciting weekends of the year is looming and we are all very enthusiastic about the forthcoming BBSI Children Christmas Fiesta. BBSI would be providing Christmas gifts for over 1000 children this year in Ibadan,” part of the statement read.

Mrs Ogieriakh said the foundation is willing to get support from all Nigerians willing to make children enjoy their childhood.

“Donations and support are still being accepted and can be anything other than cash. Gift items for kiddies, clothings, etc is welcomed. It excites us to see these children excited. Come and join us for a good cause. Join us to make this a more special time for the children in need”, she said.

Simiarly, the Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Olasupo Adetunji, the Olubadan of Ibadan land has endorsed the foundation  annual children Christmas party fiesta.

The monarch said, “I cannot but give my full support to this programme as it seeks to support well-being of the people”. He, however urged the public to also support BBSI towards the success of the annual fiesta expected to hold on 29th of December.

It should also be noted that BBSI strive to deliver emergency medical assistance to people caught in health crisis in different states in Nigeria.

The initiative works across different geopolitical zones in Nigeria to ensure that more people – particularly women and children receive the essential medicare needed to build healthy immune systems and live happy and productive lives.

The initiative focuses on needy children and mothers to advance the objective of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 to provide health and wellbeing for everyone by 2030.
