Songstress Niniola’s hit single Maradon has hit gold in South Africa
The Recording Industry of South Africa, RiSA, certified Niniola’s Maradona gold after selling over 15,000 units in the country.
On July 22, the RiSA certified Maradon a gold musical project for the feat achieved with over 15,000 units sold.
Niniola took to her social media pages to announce her new feat while hinting that the single is equally heading for platinum.
“Yassss Maradona has been certified gold in South Africa and is fast heading for platinum. Thanks, Mzansi, thanks to the recording industry of South Africa. First of more to come,” she wrote as she shared the certification.

RiSA is responsible for running the annual South African Music Awards SAMAs. RiSA is also responsible for acknowledging status awards for album sales.
In the South Africa market, gold represents sales of 15,000 units while platinum represents sales of 30,000 units.
Davido’s hit singles, ‘If’ and ‘Fall’ have attained the Gold and Platinum certification status at different times in Canada and the United States of America.
