‘No COVID-19 patient’ in Ughelli

Zonal Medical Director of Ughelli Central Hospital, Ughelli North, Dr. Bernard Ojekudo, on Monday, denied the alleged suspected case of COVID-19 patient.

Dr. Ojekudo spoke to reporters while reacting to a purported online media publication that a suspected COVID-19 patient escaped from the hospital. He said the story was false.

He said there was never a time any incident of COVID-19 was reported or recorded in the emergency unit as reported.

Dr. Ojekudo urged the public to discontenance the purported report.

The Medical Director who condemned the purported report alleging that the hospital doctors and nurses complaining about lack of Personal Protectives Equipment is false and that the state government has provided enough for the hospital.
