Ogun AG promises improved welfare for law officers

Ogun State Attoney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Akingbolahan Adeniran has said that the  welfare of the law officers in the state will be prioritised.

Adeniran, who spoke during a visit to the ministry’s outstation in Ijebu-Ode, said Governor Dapo Abiodun was aware of their plights and was ready to meet their needs.

“We will make sure that we meet their needs in office. Gone are days when a law officer in the state will be lamenting of office tools and other equipment. Now that we have it by ourselves, we will address the issues one after the other”, he said.

The Commissioner emphasised the need to overhaul the outstation for effective performance and outstanding human capacity, noting that quick dispensation of justice and delaying of intervention of the ministry in human relations cases would no longer be tolerated.

The Ministry’s Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Mr. Adeyemi Adewole who also spoke, said the quick intervention of the state in equipping the outstation would boost law officers morale and encourage them in litigating civil cases being handled by the ministry.

He confirmed that the government was  ready to come to their aid to rejig the outstation which, according to him, covers the largest portion of the East Senatorial District of the state.

He assured that the government would do everything possible to establish more outstations, especially in Ilaro and Sagamu.

Adewole added that the establishment of the outstation would also reduce law  officers’ stress, save manhours and prevent risk.

The Permanent Secretary also noted that the Ijebu-Ode outstation would soon get a face lift as promised by the Commissioner.
