A governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Osun State Dr Akin Ogunbiyi on Monday pulled out from the race ahead of the primary billed for Tuesday.
Ogunbiyi, who is the chairman of Mutual Benefits Assurance, is one of the leading aspirants in the guber race.
The Media Aide of Ogunbiyi, Mr John Ajayi, confirmed the development to The Nation.

He said: “Dr Ogunbiyi decided to withdraw from the race as a result of the PDP National secretariat shenanigans.”
Ogunbiyi was the first runner-up in the 2018 PDP governorship primary election.
