Youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Owo, Owo local government area have pledged to support the aspiration of Mrs Jumoke Ajasin-Anifowose for Governor of Ondo State.
Anifowose is the last daughter of first executive governor of Ondo State, Chief Adekunle Ajasin and also the only female among the aspirants contesting under the APC.
The Owo APC youths under the auspices Movement for Good Governance in Ondo (MGGO) said they opted to support Anifowose because they want a mother as the next Governor of the state.
In a press statement issued to journalists in Akure and signed by its National Coordinator, Comrade Bamidele Olusegun, the youths said they would do all within their powers to mobilise votes for Anifowose.
Describing Anifowose as ‘Mama APC’, Comrade Olusegun said she displayed exceptional qualities as Chairman of defunct ACN and other political positions she has held.
According to the statement, “Mama APC is the APC hope to victory in Ondo. We will put our resources to campaign for her and ensure she wins the party primaries”

“We are happy she has purchased the nomination and expression of interest forms contrary to what her detractors were saying that Mama APC will step down from the race”.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Anifowoshe who is the only female governorship aspirant in the APC promised to return Ondo Statento its days of glory.
Speaking to journalists in Akure after picking her Nomination and Expression of Interest forms in Abuja, Anifowoshe said she would give the APC maximum victory at the October poll.
Represented by one of her Campaign Coordinators, Mr Fernandez Ogunleye, Anifowoshe urged the National Working Committee of the APC to work towards harmonizing various interest groups within the party ahead of the poll.
She appealed to all aggrieved members of the party to work for her victory at the primaries in the overall interest of the citizens.
