A 56-year-old carpenter, Babatunde Oluwasola, has been arrested by operatives of the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), for trafficking young girls to Libya for prostitution.
Oluwasola was arrested alongside his accomplice, Mrs. Dada Fowowe, a trader in Ondo State.
He was said to have recruited three girls living in Akure and trafficked them to Libya in April.
One of the victims, a 15-year-old girl who did not tell her parents about the trip, discovered that the situation in Libya was not what she expected.
