Foreign Affairs Minister Geoffrey Onyeama has presented medical equipment to the Enugu State government to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The minister also presented foodstuffs to charity organisations and homes in the state.

Represented by the factional Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Deacon Okey Ogbodo, the minister stressed that the medical equipment would help the state government to contain the spread of the virus.

He said the food items and essentials would provide succour to the less privileged, particularly those at old people’s homes and motherless babies’ homes.

Among the medical equipment presented to the state government were COVID-19 test kits, safety goggles, complete PPE kits, infrared non-contact thermometers, surgical masks, among others.
