Ooni of Ife’s sincere plea

Even if Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, didn’t get to be a highly placed Yoruba monarch, he would still be loved and respected by many. Before he became the Arole of Oduduwa in 2015, people who knew him attested to his generosity, kindness and simplicity.

Since he became traditional ruler, he has tried to inculcate those exciting qualities in the hearts of Yoruba descendants by pushing them to show genuine concern for humanity.

On Monday, while receiving a joint delegation of Jack-Rich Special Support Initiative, Belema Oil J.V & Belema Aid & Foundation, led by the wife of the groups’ founder, Mrs. Elizabeth Jack Rich, he re-established the need to assist the poor and other vulnerable members of the society.

Commending the Jack Rich’s family for helping countless individuals through Belemaoil and Belema Aid & Foundation, he described the founder, Tein TS Jack Rich, as a down to earth detribalised Nigerian philanthropist. He said the groups had executed many projects towards making the world a better place and urged everyone to emulate their kind gesture.

Meanwhile, the Jack Rich’s family has concluded plans to introduce some empowerment initiatives in the Southwest region, which will improve development and growth of human capital.
