Ortom queries GM over street renaming

Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has directed the General Manager of the Urban Development Board to stop the renaming of major streets in Gboko.

He was also ordered to dismantle the name plates mounted on the streets.

The governor directed the GM to reverse the renaming of Ahmadu Bello Way in Gboko.

He directed the GM to explain within 24 hours why the agency embarked on the renaming of major streets.

The Nation gathered that the general manager renamed the popular Ahmadu Bello Way Samuel Ortom Street, which attracted criticisms on the social media and drew the attention of Governor Ortom.
