Osinbajo’s dispatch rider dies in Abuja auto-accident

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) yesterday lost one of the outriders attached to him Inspector Ali Gomina. Gomina, 45,  died in an auto accident while  escorting the Vice President to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Mr Laolu Akande, however said Osinbajo  had   canceled  his scheduled trip on account of the incident.

Akande expressed the VP’s  grief over Gomina’s death.

He described the deceased as a “diligent, hardworking and serious-minded officer who will be greatly missed by the team.”

He is survived by his wife, children and relatives.  May his soul rest in peace” the statement said.
