He said: “I had a great time with my friend, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON. I commended him for his strides in Ogun State, particularly on the ongoing construction of the Agro Cargo International Airport and other people oriented projects being undertaken by his administration.
I use this medium to assure him of my continuous support and partnership for the benefit of the good people of Ogun State and Nigeria at large.”
A similar commendation was made by a senior official of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Brig.-Gen. Sylvester Oloyede, when he led a delegation of the Senior Executive Course 45, 2023, who were on a study tour to the state.
Oloyede, who spoke about the theme of the tour: “Industrialisation, Climate Change and Energy Security in Nigeria: Issues, Challenges & Prospects”, praised the governor for embarking on massive industrial revolution through the building of Agro Cargo International Airport.
He said the airport would strengthen economic growth in the state, especially in the area of quick and adequate supply of raw materials to the manufacturing sector.
Oloyede lauded the strategic location of the airport, with its proximity to Western parts of Nigeria, Lagos -Ibadan expressway, on the southern side and Sagamu-Benin expressway.
Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, said the initiative was targeted towards aggressive industrialisation in the state, which is guided by an inherent developmental philosophy of ‘ISEYA’ mantra, as entrenched in the state’s distinct agenda, “which is Building Our Future Together.”
‘’Whichever way you want to approach the airport, the access to Lagos, the fifth largest economy in Africa and Nigeria’s largest economy is very easy,” Talabi said.
