Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has called on Alex Otti to contribute his quota to the development of the state.
Ikpeazu, who spoke at his Umuobiakwa home, praised the Supreme Court judgment, which reaffirmed his victory. He assured Abians of better and brighter days ahead in his second term.
The governor thanked church leaders, traditional rulers, women and major stakeholders in the state for their faith and support.
Ikpeazu, who said he felt challenged to do more for Abians, especially the less-privileged, hinted that the next few days would be busy. He pledged to deliver on the mandate given to him.
“I say to Otti, if he has anything whatsoever to contribute to the development of Abia, time is rife now for him to make those contributions and ensure that his name joins other great names on the golden pages of Abia.”
Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly Sheriff Oborevwori; Commissioner for Urban Renewal Arthur Akpowowo; and Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP’s) Organising Secretary Sunday Onoriode have congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on his Supreme Court victory.
They said Okowa’s victory was well deserved.
A statement by Oborevwori’s Chief Press Secretary Dennis Otu reads: “I am happy that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s election was affirmed by the Supreme Court. This is a well deserved victory, it is a sweet victory and we give God the glory for everything.”
Akpowowo and Onoriode said the victory was a manifestation of the mandate given to Okowa by Deltans and it ended all issues.
