Owolabi Daniel makes gratitude sing on “Loader” turning his words into a musical treasure

The weight of gratitude is quite heavily played out in this willful track. It opens with a taste of heartfelt, culturally expressed words of thanks while the tunes are still ensuring the work of rhythm isn’t left behind. The lyrics on “Loader” by Ejoya goes as far as likening the happiness received from the cause of this gratitude to the joy of being pregnant as he says, “E be like say I don get belle” right before ascertaining he “must to thank Jehovah.”

With the choice of lighthearted words, the bars in this track are all about being on the receiving end of blessings. While Daniel Oluwagbemiro Owolabi scribbles the artist’s thoughts to tell us that God is his own loader, Daniel also aided in explaining why the artist is grateful for this position he’s in because as e dey see the pounds, e dey see the dollars.”  The lyrics let us know as he’s being showered with this, there’s that still coming through while reinforcing his need to be thankful for the source that gave him his gifts.

The accumulation of the streetlingo and, gratitude, as well as the desire to share his joy with others, really creates a down-to-earth and feel-good overview of Loader, ” which is a unique feature of the song in its genre. The entirety of the harmony is perfected to match the crescendo of the lyrics as Daniel’s various reasons for gratitude keep coming through to serenade the listeners and invoke the spirit of being thankful while at it.  A very commendable pattern employed by Daniel’s writing in the song was the consistent explanation of the request to be grateful while being grateful.

The work of the Daniel’s pen game perfectly executed the reason for the artist’s grace, why he should be thankful for his grace, and the big “what if” of if he didn’t have any of the grace he’s thankful for. That in itself places this number on its own pedestal.

To top it all off and take a bow with it, the word used to reference the most high “ Loader” is a double entendre about how his pockets keep staying full and loaded by God and how the level of wealth and grace he receives is usually only attributed to a certain source of funds that are usually unattainable without a steroid type of action to take it there.

All in all, the Daniels’ writing is kept to a minimum level of seriousness while ironically giving importance to the theme of the song: to be grateful for what is in your possession and to remember that without the one who makes it possible, reality can be very different.

A grateful heart is one ready to receive more, and that is the standard Daniel and the featured artistes lyrics are setting in this beautifully made track. While listening and agreeing with his reasonable logic, the beats evolve as the verses go, while the intention behind listening to the song is well presented. Just as the tempo, precision, and groove carries it’s weight in putting together this amazing work, the persistence and evolution of the song’s message make the music feel like it could be the listener’s testimony as well.
