The Association of Local Government, ALGON, Oyo State, has said the vacuum left behind by the immediate past Governor Abiola Ajimobi will be difficult to fill.
Mourning what it described as “untimely exit”, the sacked council bosses said “Senator Ajimobi’s death is a great and irreplaceable loss to his family, friends, political associates and the great people of Oyo State.”
The group spoke in a statement issued by the Chairman, Prince Ayodele Abass-Aleshinloye on Thursday.
The statement reads “Ajimobi was an architect of a new order, an erudite leader, a consummate politician who served the pacesetter state with utmost dedication, love and focus to make Oyo State greater than he met it for his eight years of remarkable achievements and giant stride.

“He was indeed a multitask development expert with profound intelligence which made him an accomplished administrator of human and natural resources for the betterment of the people of Oyo State and Nigeria in general.
“We however take solace in the fact that death as the ultimate end of all humans is inevitable and all mortals must pay the debt of death one day.
“Despite his death, Senator Abiola Ajimobi will continue to live in our hearts and in the memory of Oyo State people for his unusual and exceptional unique style of governance that brought peace, growth and development to the state.
“ALGON commiserates with his lovely family, friends and political associates, government of Oyo State and the entire people of the state whom he served with all his strength and God given talents.
“May the soul of “Oga wa” our courageous and highly intelligent leader rest in peace. God grant him Aljanah Fridaus.”
