The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker also distributed over 5,000 mosquito nets for the constituents in avoiding the continuous spread of malaria in the area.

Speaking to reporters shortly after the outreach, which was held at Ile Akinjide, along Orita Aperin Road, and Olubadan High School, Orita Aperin, Ibadan simultaneously, the lawmaker said the event was just a part of the whole medical stretch that he has planned out for the people.

He said the health and well-being of the people cannot be left in the hand of the government alone, hence there is a need to partner with the private sector to provide services for the people.

The lawmaker said the current health outreach is the third edition and that it was facilitated with the support of the Nigerian Army. He said: “I approached the military to be part of this year’s edition to promote civil-military relationships in his constituency,” he added.

Akinajo assured the people that he will provide more dividends of democracy before the end of the Ninth Assembly because human development and the promotion of good governance are the hallmarks of the PDP.
