Southwest chieftain of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Olufemi Ajadi, has congratulated Alhassan Yahaya on his election as president of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
Ajadi, in a statement, praised NUJ for organising a free and fair election.
He said Yahaya’s victory was a testament to members’ confidence in his leadership.

Ajadi also lauded Oyo NUJ Chair, Ademola Babalola, who led Yahaya’s campaign.
He said Yahaya’s experience, particularly as former deputy president of the union, would be useful.
Ajadi urged the new executives to ensure NUJ continued to fulfil its constitutional roles.
