The Plateau State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Rufus Bature has distanced himself from a purported interview credited to him that Dr Nentawe Yilwada, a governorship aspirant, is not an APC member.
He said the former Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Commissioner who is a governorship aspirant is a card-carrying member of the party.
Bature, who made the clarification while addressing reporters in his Jos residence yesterday, stated that he never granted any interview saying that Nentawe is not a member of the party.
“Nentawe is a full registered member of the party.”
To this end, Bature affirmed that the party has not endorsed any governorship aspirant, stressing that the APC in the state would provide a level playing ground for all aspirants.
His words: “Governor Simon Lalong has not endorsed any aspirant.
Our party is prepared to provide dividends of democracy for the people of Plateau.
