Police operatives attached to the Oleh Divisional Police Station, Isoko South L.G.A have arrested three members of an armed gang allegedly terrorising Uzere Community.
The Nation gathered that the gang operated with the code name ‘Freedom Fighters’.
A source who spoke on condition of anonymity ,said the three armed gang were arrested on Monday and handed over to the police in Oleh by soldiers guarding the residence of a former chief of defence staff in the community.
The three suspects, it was reliably learnt ,have been transfered to the State Criminal Investigation Department, (CID), in Asaba,Delta Capital.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, said she was unaware of any such issue, but promised to get back.
