African philosopher Professor Sophie Oluwole is dead.
Oluwole who was the first female doctorate degree holder in philosophy in Nigeria died at 83.
She was born in 1936 in Igbara-oke, Ondo State.
She studied history, geography and philosophy at the University of Lagos.
