PROMASIDOR Nigeria has joined in the fight to contain spread of COVID-19, with the donation of over N280 million.
A leading food & dairy company, Promisador made a cash contribution and gave quality food products. While the company donated N200 million to buy equipment and set up isolation centres through Nigeria Private Sector Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID), it also donated some quality products worth over N80 million to Lagos and Ekiti states. Besides, the company also gave milk, beverages, cereals and seasoning products worth N44 million to support the food bank in Lagos State.
Similarly, it gave products worth N34 million to Ekiti. Its host community at Isolo in Lagos State also got products worth N5.7 million. Speaking on the gesture in a chat in Lagos, Managing Director of Promasidor Nigeria Anders Einarsson said: “Promasidor’s intervention in the support of the COVID19 crisis that we are facing in Nigeria is a threefold intervention strategy: it comes in form of cash contribution to the tune of N200 million that we are contributing to the CACOVID initiative for a nationwide reach”.
“We are also intervening in the form of food support to the people in need of food, and that is being distributed across three key initiatives. We are giving food support to Lagos and Ekiti states, as well as food support to Isolo…” he said.
