Ondo State Government has assured residents of Araromi, Ifon and their environs in Ose Local Government that the reconstruction of the old Ifon-Sobe road will be completed within two weeks.
The l2.615km highway has been listed as one of the projects to be inaugurated as part of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s celebration of 100 days in office.
The Commissioner for Works, Lands and Infrastructure, Mr. Raimi Aminu, representing the governor while inspecting the project, said he was moved to award the contract after building a mother and child hospital in the town.
The Project Manager handling the reconstruction, Jamil Alkhouri, said a large drain for the road was built due to the topography of the town, which was discovered to be prone to flood.
