Gunmen on Thursday kidnapped an unspecified number of persons in Abaji community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Residents said they woke up to hear rapid gunshots, causing pandemonium in the community.

In the confusion, some persons were taken away by the hoodlums, The Nation was told.
Police said their men had been mobilised to rescue the abducted persons.
