Super Eagles assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf, will lead the team to the two international friendlies against Mali and Luxembourg.
Nigeria will face Mali in Paris on May 27 and confronts Luxembourg on June 1, africanFootball.com reports.
Both matches are designed to prepare the Eagles for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers starting in October.
The technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) rose from its meeting on Wednesday in Abuja and recommended Yusuf to lead the team for the two matches.
He will be assisted by two coaches from the Nigeria Premier League.
