Sani Kaita has told AfricanFootball.com he is excited with his winning debut for Ifeanyi Ubah FC on Wednesday.

Ifeanyi Ubah FC, formerly called Gabros FC, pipped Dolphins 1-0 in Umuahia in continuation of the Nigeria league.

Midfielder Kaita, who starred for Nigeria at the 2010 World Cup, started the game for Ifeanyi Ubah and was substituted in the 70th minute with Emeka Isaac.

The former Sparta Rotterdam ace said he is delighted he opted to join Ifeanyi Ubah FC ahead of other clubs who showed interest to sign him.

“I am happy that my debut was a winning one, it’s always good to win first games,” he told AfricanFootball.com.

“It was a good game for me and the team and we scored a fantastic goal, I’m happy we started the game with good attitude and ended it well.”

Kaita further said he made the right move by joining the club on a three-year contract.

“Well, it was complicated and confusing earlier because there were other teams interested in me, but I must tell you that I am happy with the choice I made which is Ifeanyi Ubah FC,” he said.
