The governors like Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Yahaya Bello (Kogi) spoke through statements issued on Thursday after Dare’s death was announced.

Sanwo-Olu: he will be sorely missed

Sanwo-Olu, in his statement, also extended his condolence to the general overseer’s  wife,  Pastor Folu Adeboye, over the demise of her son.

The governor, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, expressed his heartfelt sympathies over the death.

He urged the family of the deceased, friends, associates and members of RCCG to take the death of Pastor Adeboye in good faith.

“No doubt, the death of a loved one is usually painful as it is irreparable but we must always take solace in God, especially if the deceased has lived a good life, just like the late Pastor Dare Adeboye.

“The pastoral and wise counsel of ‘Pastor D’ as he was fondly called will be sorely missed by his family and the entire members of RCCG, especially in Eket, Akwa Ibom, where he played active roles as a cleric before he passed on.”

Dare’s death unfortunate, says Fayemi

Fayemi described the death of Pastor Adeboye’s son as an unfortunate development, which has inflicted a wound in the hearts of family members in particular, the Christian community, all lovers of Adeboye and Nigerians in their millions.

In a condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Yinka Oyebode, he described Pastor Dare as a vibrant young man and committed minister in God’s vineyard, who trod the righteous path being trodden by his parents.

The governor urged Pastor Adeboye and his wife to remain strong in faith in the trying time and rely on God, who assuages grief.

Akeredolu: a huge loss to the Christendom

Akeredolu, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, described the death of Dare as tragic and a huge loss to the Christendom, Adeboye’s dynasty and the youths.

Akeredolu said the late Dare played major role in youth mentorship as a Regional Youth Evangelist.

The governor said Dare was a promising servant of God, adding that his death was excruciatingly painful.

He noted that Pastor Adeboye has been a great benefactor of the state through the RCCG’s many interventions.

‘It is irreparable loss‘

Wike, in a statement by his Special Assistant, Media, Kelvin Ebiri, said the people of Rivers joined the Adeboye’s family and the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide in mourning the loss of Pastor Dare.

He said: “On behalf of the government and people of Rivers State, I wish to extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to Pastor Adeboye, his family and the  Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide for the  irreparable loss of Pastor Dare Adeboye, who was a minister in the church.”

Oyetola: Osun received news with pain

“We take solace in the exemplary life of Pastor Dare Adeboye and the peaceful way  he went to be with the  Lord.”

He was a role model, says Abiodun
