LAGOS State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said on Thursday that Lagosians should see the period of the celebration of Eid-El-Kabir as a time of reflection.
He spoke at the Governor’s Office in Alausa, Ikeja when State House correspondents asked for his advice to Lagosians “in this period of Sallah celebration.”
Sanwo-Olu said part of the reflection would be to slow things down, “and like the phrase that I borrowed from the young boy, let’s calm down, let’s just calm down and things will get better.”

Making reference to the just inaugurated face mask manufacturing company in the state, the governor said: “You can see here now these are process of calming down.
“We are all wearing face masks; the first Nigerian company has started producing face masks, so the anxiety is coming down.
“Our curve that we keep mentioning that we will flatten, next tomorrow is August, it will start flattening out and so we will start seeing the real calming down in our system.
“Yes, it is a period of reflection, a period in which we take a lot of stock counting and we can do that by just ensuring that we slow down, we calm down and things will get over time back to some bit of normalcy.”
