Singer Samzy eager to return to Nigeria after duet with Rema

DALLAS-BASED Nigerian artiste, Samzy has spoken of his desire to return home and connect with his Nigerian roots after a duet with MAVIN record singer, Rema.

The rapper and songwriter was speaking against the backdrop of the successful release of his latest single, ‘RedDots,’ which featured the ‘Beamer’ singer, Rema. ‘RedDots’ dropped on May 8 and has enjoyed massive airplay and raked in hundreds of thousands of plays across streaming platforms.

Samzy moved to the United States at a young age and has been into music from an early age of 15. His sound/style of music is influenced by fusing Afro-beat, Caribbean, and Trap sounds.

In a chat with The Nation on his latest single, the Edo state indigene said he was thrilled by the reception which the song has gotten in Nigeria so far.

Samzy said; “I am super excited about what’s happening, it feels good to be acceptable back home, even as I am building my career here and I hope to return soon.”

Samzy is currently putting work into finishing his forthcoming EP project titled ‘Trendsetter-EP’.
