The National Association of University Students (NAUS) has pledged support to Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) in its technological drive and vision to lead the pace among public institutions in Nigeria.
Senate President of NAUS, Comrade Ibrahim Lawal, spoke after he led a delegation of the Senate Leadership of NAUS on an unscheduled visit to the university.
Lawal said the visit was to enabled the delegation have first-hand information of happenings in the university since the resumption of Prof Abayomi Fashina as the substantive Vice-Chancellor and also conduct an on-site assessment of infrastructure in the university.

He said the students’ body passed a vote of confidence on the management of the university, after they engaged all the critical stakeholders, including the leadership of Students Union Government and conducted a facility tour of the institution.
Lawal noted that FUOYE is unarguably one of the fastest-growing public universities in Nigeria, given the consistency of leadership and the vision of the current management team of the university.
He said: “NAUS is greatly impressed by the excellent corporate governance practices the university operates since the assumption of office of Professor Fashina which has earned the trust and commendation of staff and students.
