The rice plantation, sources said, is owned by a group of rice farmers.
Herders armed with AK47 rifles were said to have driven all the farmers away from the farm, threatening to shoot them.
It was learnt that a herdsman was apprehended last Friday when he led his cattle to the same farm. Two of his cows were seized. Sources also said that on Monday, four armed herdsmen first stormed the rice farm and chased away the farmers before calling their colleagues who invaded the farm with their cattle.
