    Handling sexual perversion (2)

HELLO Reader, you are welcome to another great time in God’s presence. I began this teaching last week, by looking at fornication and pre-marital sex as sexual perversions.

I said last week, that perversion is a derogatory term for deviation from the original meaning or doctrine, that is, turning aside from what is to be normal.

I equally said that, sexual perversion is an abnormal sex; that is, doing it contrary to God’s original purpose of it. In that teaching, I said fornication means any unlawful sexual intercourse between two unmarried man and unmarried woman, while pre-marital sex means sex before marriage.

This week, I shall be exploring another crucial sexual perversion – Adultery.

    What is Adultery?

Adultery is one of the sexual perversions that are eating so deeply in the world today. But what is adultery? It is simply sex between a married man or woman and someone who is not their wife or husband.  Adulterer is a man or woman who goes into sexual relationship as a married man or woman, outside of wedlock.

This is a grievous sin in the sight of God. If any party in marriage is involved in it, it brings a curse upon the home.  The Word of God does not give room for extra-marital affairs, no matter the situation at home. Men or women who indulge in it are doing so at their own hurt. They sin against God and against their own flesh.

If you think your wife or husband is not good enough for you and you have seen somebody better outside, I tell you, it is the devil that wants to destroy you.  The Word of God lists the various work of the flesh: Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21).

If you pay good attention to all that are happening in the world today, you will find all kinds of atrocities listed out in the above scripture.  You will also discover that self and its works are the first primary things that God says will characterize the last days.  That is to tell you that truly we are really in the last days.  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy (2 Timothy 3:1-2).

That is self finding expression in their lives, finances, etc.  Everything about them, is self.  We are in the last days.  Men and women, don’t keep messing your lives around, by going into unholy sexual relationship.  Don’t pretend that no body knows.  God’s Word tells us that the eyes of the Lord are in every place. The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good (Proverbs 15:3).

In case you are reading this article today, and you are in that act, you must stop it! If you don’t stop it, the judgment of God will catch up with you. The Word of God says: Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge (Hebrews 13:4). The word ‘whore’ in that sentence simply means harlot.

These days, you see married men following small girls of the age of their daughters.  Something is wrong with them upstairs! They have mental problem.  They are not even ashamed, they will say, they just want to keep them company. What kind of evil company are you looking for? Evil wants to destroy your life.

You will also find a married woman running after another married man. Some of them, these days, even follow young boys of the age of their own son, just to be able to have that sexual relationship and “cool themselves down,” they say. It is so pathetic that it is becoming common. After the old women have taken young boys to bed, they now pay the young boys for the job well done.  It is a shame! I don’t care the category you belong to; but today, you must make a u-turn.

When the Bible says God will judge, you better take it serious. Whether you are doing it professionally or at the secondary level, you must of necessity stop it. Marriage is honourable, if only the bed is undefiled.  If you must enjoy honour in marriage, you must keep your marriage bed pure.  If you defile your marriage bed, you are simply taking away the honour in your marriage.

God’s Word says in Proverbs 6:32 that any man who goes into another man’s wife lacks understanding.  You do soto the destruction of your own soul.  You will incur a wound by it.  Even if the wound is healed, the scan remains there, not only that, dishonour is what you will get.  But today, there is restoration for you, in the name of Jesus Christ.

You want to be born again so that your sins will be forgiven? You can say this prayer of faith and you shall be born again! “Dear Lord, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving me. Now I know I am born again!”

  • Girl, 2, needs N3.5m for heart surgery in India

She is battling a life-threatening ailment. All she requires to live is N3.5 million, but her parents are poor. Will good Samaritans come to little Desola Kalejaye’s aid?  WALE ADEPOJU reports

It two, when she should be going about playing with her mates, little Desola Kalejaye is suffering from a life-threatening hole-in-the-heart. She requires N3.5 million for surgery in India so as to live. The snag is her parents cannot afford the operation cost, which also covers air tickets, accommodation and post-treatment.

Her father, Mr Adeola Kalejaye said the ailment started at birth.

“We discovered she had hernia at birth but the doctor treating her said she had to wait until she’s about one- and-a-half years old before she could be allowed to have a hernia surgery,” he said.

Her heart also started beating “very fast”, Kalejaiye said. “This made me to take her to the General Hospital for post treatment. It was from there that she was transferred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Kalejaye said.“

At LUTH, the doctor said she should have the hernia surgery.

The doctor also said this was the cause of her heavy breathing.

He said it was at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta that doctors diagnosed her ailment to be a hole-in-the-heart, adding that they were advised to have echocardiogram (ECG).

“After the shock discovery, the doctor advised that my daughter be flown abroad, especially India for a surgery,” Kalejaye said.

He said her hernia is not life-threatening, but that the hole-in-the-heart is.

The consultant said after the heart surgery, she would rest for some weeks before going for that of hernia.

Kalejaye is appealing to well-meaning people, corporate organisations and the government for help.

He said: “Desola is my first child and I’m very worried about her ailment. As a father, I’ve tried all I could without any solution. This is why I am begging that Nigerians should help me so that my daughter can have the treatment.”

  • Boy, 2, needs N350, 000 for surgery

A two-year old boy, Oluwafeyijimi Benson, who is battling a hole in his heart, requires N350,000 to live. The cash is the balance of the N1.7 million he requires for “a corrective surgery” in India.

The Nation reported on October 16 that the boy requires N1.7 million for the surgery, prompting some Nigerians and groups to come to his aid.

He got N500,000 from individuals. A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Down Syndrome Foundation Nigeria, offered to foot half of the surgery bill.

The tot now requires N350,000 to complete the money.

Staring into space yesterday, his mother, Mrs. Toyin Benson, bemoaned her child’s fate, saying: “God, who will you send to save this boy for me?”

At two, Benson cannot walk, stand or eat like his peers. His breathing is fast and often times, he breathes through his mouth. His eyes are purple and he rarely eats. “He feeds barely on baby foods, and has never taken breast milk, owing to his health condition,” Mrs Benson said.

“A hole was discovered in his heart when he was barely two months old at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, when I took him there for treatment. However, financial challenges have not allowed us to do the prescribed surgery for him,” she added.

A medical report from LASUTH’s Department of Paediatrics and Child Health shows that the boy, with hospital registration number 0210983, is a patient at the Paediatric Cardiology Unit, where he is being managed for Congenital Heart Disease, which requires surgical intervention.

Mrs Benson has opened a First Bank account under the name: Oluwafeyijimi Benson, with number: 3071772551, for those that wish to help. She can also be reached on 08039151682.

  • Good governance tour ill-conceived – Fashola

Good governance tour ill-conceived – Fashola

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), has described the ongoing Good Governance tour initiated by the Federal Government as ill-conceived and disguised by the government to appear busy.

Fashola made the remark on Tuesday during activities to mark his administration’s 2,100 days in office.

The event took place at the Blue Roof of the Lagos Television in Alausa, Ikeja.

The well attended event has in attendance former governors of the state, Brig. Mobolaji Johnson (RTD) and Alhaji Lateef Jakande, the state Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Henry Ajomale, Chief Molade Okoya Thomas, party chieftains and traditional rulers amongst others.

Fashola said: “we do not need a Good Governance tour in Lagos before citizens know that their lives are improving. Completed projects such as the Ibeshe road in Ikorodu, the Mother and Child Centres in Amuwo Odofin and Alimosho and the completed school of nursing are examples of good governance.”

He listed other developmental projects embarked by the state to include the Mile 12/ Ikorodu road project, Yaya Abatan/College road, Okota-Ago palace way, Ejigbo Ajao Link Bridge and other roads network.

He stressed that the Peoples Democratic Party- led Federal Government lacks initiatives to drive developmental projects.

  • 2,129 write promotion examination in Ekiti

A total of 2,129 teaching and non-teaching workers in public secondary schools in Ekiti State wrote promotion examination for various grades last weekend.

Monitoring the conduct of the examination, the

Chairman of the State Teaching Service Commission, Prince Bayo Adeniran, described the turn out as impressive.

He said the workers were orderly and peaceful during the examination.

Adeniran said the examination was conducted by his commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Education under standard and normal examination condition.

He reiterated the government’s “merit-based” approach to appointment and promotion of workers, noting that the gesture was to encourage workers to read wide and perform optimally.

Adeniran said the plan is to boost the performance of pupils by ensuring that they are taught by competent teachers.

He said the era of automatic promotion was over and workers would only be promoted on merit.

Adeniran praised the state chapters of the Nigeria Union of Teachers

(NUT), Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) and Association of National Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) for their support towards the success of the examination.

A teacher in Oloketuyi Memorial Grammar School, Igbemo-Ekiti, Mrs. Taiwo

Akinola, said the examination questions were “standard and not extremely difficult”.

She said the examination would develop teachers.

The examination was conducted at centres in four towns – Ado-Ekiti, Aramoko-Ekiti, Ikole-Ekiti and Usi-Ekiti.
