After this year’s edition of AY Live Easter show, some fans of comedian Ayo Makun, otherwise called AY, have frowned at one of his jokes, which centered on the incident between Big Brother Naija housemates T-Boss and Kemen.
Tagging the incident a ‘small touch’, AY who called the Big Brother housemates on stage during the show asked Nigerians to support him and forget what happened by forgiving him, which saw other comedian focusing their talk on the same matter.
But fans took to AY’s Instagram page to vent their displeasure about what they considered a sour joke.
@Tmamuwo wrote “What is bad is bad. Celebrities are supposed to be positive people we look up to. My heart aches that @aycomedian made a joke out of this. I respect his wife a lot as an interior designer this is really too much and really off it. To think the likes of @funkejenifaakindele and the other female comedian were involved in this kinda hope. It’s a shame.”
@preciousmofunanya “@officialtboss_ I suggest you take a break from all this public functions for now and gather as much counsel as you need before stepping out. God has made you a star and no one can take that away from you but you need counsel like never before to manage this fame. To be honest with you @aycomedian, I didn’t like the joke you cracked with TBoss and Kemen yesterday and then you are posting your pix with her, that’s even more disgusting of you. Can someone treat your wife and daughter that way and you still make a joke of it.”
@olapey “You can’t joke with that kind of stuff… how would you feel if it was your daughter that this happened to? Haba all in the name of jokes and a hit show.”
@iddy4real “AY u really made kemen so uncomfortable with your expensive joke lastnite… U weren’t doing him any Good at all. Pls mind d kind of joke u crack.”
Recall that Kemen was disqualified from the Big Brother Naija show on March 5, 2017 after T-Boss said she didn’t consent to his furtive moments with her under the sheets.
Though AY was spotted with T-boss after the show taking pictures together, at the after party, his fans still believe he has no right to use such scenario as one of his jokes.
