BBNaija S10: Kola banned from speaking after rule violation

Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Kola has been handed a strict penalty for breaching the show’s confidentiality rules.

He was punished for disclosing details of a private conversation with Agent X on the red telephone, despite being warned not to share the content with fellow housemates.

According to Big Brother, Kola will not be allowed to speak until further notice and can only communicate using a writing pad during conversations.

The punishment was due to Kola’s decision to reveal some details of the conversation, which involved an offer of a luxury manicure and pedicure session worth N1 million, and he had turned down the offer.

Big Brother announced the punishment, stating that Kola must write down his thoughts and have his housemates read them aloud before responding.

Big Brother declared, “Kola, you discussed part of your conversation on the red telephone despite being warned that you weren’t to discuss it with any of your fellow housemates during the course of your stay in Big Brother’s house.

“As punishment, you’re forbidden from speaking till further notice. For the duration of this punishment, you’re only to communicate by writing on the writing pad that Big Brother has provided, except when speaking to Big Brother.

“Each time you’re involved in a conversation, you have to write on the writing pad, and the housemate you’re addressing must read your words aloud before responding, and that has to continue for the duration of the conversation”.

“My American girlfriend called the organisers to evict me from the show that I have a health challenge. So the organisers then had confirm from my family members because I dropped my family members’ phone numbers.

“They contacted my brother if it was true and they said there’s nothing like that. I mean if I ever had a problem, I would voluntarily exit the show. She wasn’t here in Nigeria, but she placed calls,” he stated.

Big Brother Naija star Bright Morgan has shared his thoughts on the relationship dynamics between Kola, Dede, and Koyin.

Speaking during his post-eviction interview with show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Bright said Kola is someone who relentlessly pursues his love interests, and he has advised Kola to exercise restraint in his pursuit of Dede.

According to him, Kola’s eagerness might make him appear less valuable to Dede, stating that he should take a step back and not be too intense in his approach.

“Kola is a chaser. No matter what you do, once he is interested in you, he goes for you. But I just wanted him to understand where I’m coming from. I’m like, bro, you’re a spec too, don’t let this girl see you as someone with no value. You cannot be all up in her matter, just relax,” Bright explained.

Bright also expressed uncertainty about Dede’s true feelings, noting that while she claims Koyin as her best friend, their interactions suggest a deeper connection.

According to him, Dede and Koyin seem comfortable with each other in ways that she doesn’t always appear to be with Kola.

“I know he really likes her and we’re going to be in the house for a while, but he should take his time. Sometimes I’m even confused about who she really likes. She says Koyin is her best friend, but I see them in some cozy environments where she wouldn’t normally be with Kola,” he added.

I waited 5 years for this opportunity and even almost gave up last year by registering to study a random course I wasn’t half as passionate about. There were times I cried myself to sleep because I wanted more and I just wanted to go to school. But this year was the year! From gaining admission, to scholarship and the hectic visa process, it was all destined.

“I came across people I believe God sent to just assist me through it all. I remember going for Thanksgiving in church before I even got admission cause I recently learned to give thanks even before my blessings arrived.
So grateful to my sisters and my friends for how much they supported me through it all.

“I’m doing a Masters in Global Security and Strategy, and babyyyy. I’ve already called my sister once crying cause I felt so overwhelmed Being out of touch with the international arena and just diving back in is one hell of a ride but I am strapped (or atleast I think I am). Anyways, I was gonna do a nonchalant post but this caption is now too long so bye guyssss!”
