    Hustle hard make you no fall off like Brymo – Burna Boy

    Award winning singer Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy, has subtly thrown jabs at his senior colleague, Brymo

    The ‘African Giant’ crooner shaded his the ‘Ara’ vocalist while rehearsing with his band, Outsiders, in a freestyle session.

    “Hustle hard make you no fall off like Brymo,” he sings.

    The freestyle video has since gone viral on social media.

    Meanwhile, Brymo has reacted to Burna Boy’s freestyle video shared on X by a music buff, WeTalkSound.

    Quoting the tweet, Brymo wrote: “Foolish boy with all these talentless lyrics.”

    Brymo recently accused him of song theft.

    He alleged that Burna Boy’s ‘City Boys’ and ‘I Told Them’ sampled the title track of his upcoming album, ‘Macabre’.

    Grammy-winning musician Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy, has lyrically disclosed how he turned down a whopping $5 million offer to perform in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, UAE.

    According to the self-styled ‘African Giant’, he turned down the offer because he wouldn’t be in a gathering where he would be restrained from smoking his regular weed.

    In Dubai, the Emirati law prohibits smoking in parks, beaches and all public recreational areas.

    Businessman Abu Salami has continued to drag superstar singer Davido over alleged debt.

    Maverick singer, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ aka Brymo, has accused Nigerian self-styled giant, Burna Boy of intellectual theft.

    The ‘Ara’ crooner alleged that Burna Boy’s ‘City Boys’ and ‘I Told Them’ sampled the album title track of his upcoming album, ‘Macabre.’

    He said what Burna Boy did was a “crime” and should serve a jail term.

    On his Instagram handle, Brymo wrote: “By end of this year y’all will recollect that ‘Macabre’ wasn’t released when in the public, and as privately as it gets .: ‘city boy’.. and ‘I Told You’ were fed to Burna Boy..

    “Former of the track titles I mentioned above is there to point me to the fact that the latter, and his album title is the hook I sing on my album title track ‘Macabre’.. burna na really boy.. and that’s a crime.!! An actual crime…To do time for… and if una like make una resurrect legends to come complain about stolen songs… una go regret this shit to numerous degrees… shey una no dey hear word !!.”

    Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy, has stated that women, most of the time, think the opposite of reality.

    He made the assertion while speaking on the inspiration behind his hit song ‘City Boys’ in a recent interview with Kiss FM London, United Kingdom.

    He said being a ‘City Boy’ means putting yourself first in a relationship with the female folk.

    Burna Boy said: “City Boy is every guy that puts himself first. I mean about relationships between us and females. It’s not about putting yourself first in the grand scheme of things.

    “Me being a City Boy, right? If I say you know what? I’m going take everyone here shopping right now. We all go and you all get what you want. Why did I do that? I did that simply because it was some fly sh*t to do. And I feel fly about it. You get me? That’s City Boy’s feeling. It wasn’t about you. It was really about me doing some fly sh*t.

    “Women think the opposite of what things really are most of the time. If it was a city girl, she would tell you the opposite. She wouldn’t get the logic. She would feel like, Oh… After you guys have gone shopping, she might feel like you are finished. That’s a city girl.”

    Grammy-award winning act Burna Boy has stated that the X app wouldn’t be the same if he had access to his personal account.

    Speaking during an interview on Kiss Fresh hosted by Henrie, the singer stated that his management took his Twitter account from him.

    He said he would always be on the trend table because he doesn’t tolerate disrespect from anyone as the X ground will shake consistently.

    He said: “If I had access to my account everywhere would be shaking every day. The ground will be elevating based on my feelings and I don’t like disrespect on the internet and they always try to disrespect me on the internet.     Burna Boy loses seven nominations at BET Hip Hop Awards

    Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy’s lost all seven nominations at the just concluded 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards which held at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center on Tuesday night.

    He lost the Hip Hop Artist of the Year, Lyricist of the Year and Best Live Performer of the Year categories to Kendrick Lamar.

    Burna Boy also lost: Hustler of the Year to 50Cent and Best Collaboration of the Year for ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ feat, 21 Savage to Lil Durk and J. Cole’s ‘All My Life.’

    But Ghanaian prodigy, Black Sherif won the Best International Flow category defeating South Africa’s late AKA and K.O, France’s Gazo and Ninho, UK’s J Hus, Central Cee and others.

    Bose Ogulu, mother of Burna Boy, has revealed that she foresaw greatness in the Grammy-winning singer during his early teenage years.

    She told BBC’s Nyasha Michelle in an interview that she predicted he would be a force to reckon with in the world of music.

    According to her: “I think I had know at age 13 or 14 that he was going to be great at something and that thing was probably going to be music.

    “I had already seen him in the studio, I had already watched him form a high school band,” she said.

    “From when he was in JSS3, which I think would be Year 9, we started trading studio time for grades. I would say: ‘OK, if you make a B or an A in this, I’ll pay for studio time during your mid-term’.”

    Mama Burna as she’s fondly called mentioned though she had a strong premonition about his musical prowess, yet as a typical African parent, she encouraged him to get formal education.

    She said: “The African parents we were raised to be, you always want to make them go to school and get a degree. Just because you’re convincing yourself that they need a safety net. Or you’re ticking the boxes or whatever.

    Underling her achievement before assuming the ‘Mama Burna’ and managing her son full-time, the Spaceship Collective CEO added: “Before being Mama Burna, I was trained as an interpreter and a translator. 

    “I worked around most of the countries in West Africa. I ran a language school for 18 years.”

    Popular Afro-fusion singer Daniel Benson aka BNXN has revealed the inspiration behind his recently released album titled: ‘Sincerely, Benson’.

    BNXN, while speaking to Apple Music Africa Now Radio about the album that released on October 5, 2023, said he followed Burna Boy’s template.

    In the interview with Nandy Madiba, BNXN said his album title was inspired by Grammy-winning megastar Burna Boy who advised him to find a way to incorporate the name into his album after he made the name change from Buju to BNXN.

    “I went out with Burna Boy. We were talking, this is around the period where I’d just changed the name and he’s like ‘yo, now you need to personalise that name, you need to make an emphasis on that name. This name? That has to be your album name. It has to be part of your album itself, you need to sell it with you.

    “He told me that and it stuck to me so bad, but it was crazy because months after that he drops ‘Love, Damini’. You know, his real name! I was like ‘Ahhh my guy, I feel you!’… so yeah, that was one of the reasons that really inspired the name, the need to personalise and make an emphasis on the name, so people really identify me for what it is,” he said.

    Nigerian Afrobeats star Daniel Benson aka Bnxn has revealed how Burna Boy’s advice was responsible for the title of his new album, ‘Sincerely, Benson.’

    In a recent chat with Apple Music 1’s Nandi Madida, Bnxn, who is formerly known as Buju, narrated how a meeting with Burna Boy helped him secure the title for his current album.

    He said, “I went out with Burna Boy. We were talking – this is around the period where I’d just changed the name – and he’s like ‘yo, now you need to personalise that name, you need to make an emphasis on that name. This name? That has to be your album name. It has to be part of your album itself, you need to sell it with you.’”

    Continuing, the 26-year-old songwriter and singer said he was more convinced when Burna Boy released his sixth album with his name on it.

    “He told me that and it stuck to me so bad, but it was crazy because months after that he drops ‘Love, Damini’. You know, his real name! I was like ‘Ahhh my guy, I feel you!’… so yeah, that was one of the reasons that really inspired the name, the need to personalise and make an emphasis on the name, so people really identify me for what it is,” Bnxn said.

    The ‘Best of me’ singer also explained that a personal heartbreak inspired his songwriting as well as the foundation for the new album.
