“The birth of Cegar came from the passion of the CEO for fitness. The lack of easy accessibility to quality fitness wears birthed Cegar.

“For many people like me, exercising not only serves as a means to keep our bodies healthy but also as an outlet to de-stress from life’s struggles and keep our minds healthy. Cegar is a fitness lifestyle brand that I created out of a personal need to promote both physical and mental wellness while making apparel more accessible and stylish. I believe looking good is the first step to feeling good so I have handpicked these pieces (most of which are my personal designs) and I’m hoping you will love them as much as i do .Most importantly I hope that these pieces serve as a reminder of my wish for you; that when in life……. Or if the gym gets tough, you get resilient.”

  • BBNaija: Why our `romantic’ pairings crashed— Ceec, Lolu, Nina

Tension hung in the air as Anto, Lolu, Cee-C, Tobi and Nina shared reasons why the romantic relationships with their on-screen partners fell apart during the ongoing BBnaija #Doublewahalareload and reunion show on Wednesday night.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that during the show, the ex-housemates were paired with the opposite gender as strategic partners which largely grew into romantic relationships.

However, BamTeddy (BamBam and Teddy A) are the only couple left from the show as CeeBi (Tobi and Cee-C), LoTo (Lolu and Anto) and MiNa (Miracle and Nina) broke off at different points during and after the show.

Cee-C and Tobi had the most drama in their relationship with their fans also taking the fight to social media. They both told host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that they do not regret any part of it.

Cee-C said, “A lot of things were centered around Tobi and I; It’s a good thing as the theme was Double Wahala.

“It was a good thing for the show. There is nothing to regret, even when you lose, you learn from your mistakes,” she said.

For Tobi, he said it was quite an experience that he also learnt from.

He said, “It was one I learnt from and also enjoyed.”

They both added that they presently do not talk but will be willing to work with each other whenever the need arises.

Meanwhile, it was shockingly revealed that Anto was ready to have a relationship with Lolu after the show but he turned her down, despite being the initiator during the show.

Explaining the reason of his actions to Ebuka, he said, “First of all, I think it takes a lot to have a relationship. It takes a lot more than us just liking each other.

“We had our differences and after the house, we sorted it out. We are two different people and we are looking for different things going forward,” he said.

Also, Nina told Ebuka she decided to create a distance between herself and Miracle.

The fan-favourite couple were expected to build a stronger relationship after the show which fell flat.

About Miracle, she said, “He is just a goal-getter. He is focused and that’s one thing I love about him. I don’t regret the relationship at all. I actually wanted to see how it will be if I was alone.”

Commenting on the Nina and Miracle situation, media personality Denrele Edun said, “Miracle struck me as someone who was lost when he got into the house.

“He looked out for someone who would be unsuspecting of his moves in the house. The moment they were paired, I just knew ‘Okay’.

“It worked in his favour and also worked in her favour. If they weren’t paired together, things would have turned out differently,” he said.

  • BBNaija: Remembering Tobi Bakre, Cee-C, Uriel’s journey to stardom

Season 4 of the hugely popular Big Brother Naija reality TV show is due back on our screens this year according to organizers of the show, MultiChoice Nigeria. In just three months since this was revealed, the show – and all that it represents – has generated a lot of excitement and frenzy among viewers who are anticipating the next stars that will emerge from this competition.

Speaking about stars – no matter what side of the divide you sit on – you will admit that BBNaija is a great talent factory where stars are made. By just becoming one of the housemates on the show, you can be propelled to heights unimagined and unlock doors to many opportunities. With the help of a ‘Big Brother’, ex-housemates achieve a boost in their career trajectories which would have hitherto taken years to achieve.

For instance, pre BBNaija season 3 Double Wahala, Tobi Bakre wasn’t a household name. It was in fact his older brother Femi Bakre, the founder of Kraks, a comedy brand with over 2 million followers across social media platforms, who had some level of popularity.

Tobi was a low-key guy who worked in a bank and took up photography as a ‘side hustle’. He was about your average Nigerian youth who had dreams of making it big and making his mark in the creative industry. Those hopes and dreams took a big leap when he went into the BBNaija house. Although he did not win, emerging second runner-up was in no way a small feat. He has since risen to become one of the most liked personalities in the Nigerian social media space recording a spike in followership by 450% since the show ended, as he revealed in an interview with The Guardian. In real life, his new-found fame fetched him some mouth-watering deals with big consumer brands including Unilever, Amstel Malta and Jumia. He has also taken up some acting gigs and is currently the star of one of Africa Magic’s shows, Hustle. Speaking on his time on Big Brother Naija, Tobi says it helped him discover some skills he was oblivious of such as being able to create things with his hands. “It (BBNaija) helped me recognize some of my talents actually not just to myself, but to the ever-growing audience. That kind of sets you on the path already”, he was quoted to have said in an interview.

When Cynthia Nwadiora aka Cee-C stepped on stage and made her way into the BBNaija Double Wahala house, no one envisaged the firebrand she would be! Cee-C was unarguably the most controversial of the lot and she didn’t care whose ox was gored as she made known her views and opinions on subject matters – and fellow housemates. After 85 eventful days in the house, she came in second place, missing the number one spot by a few votes. Cee-C, a lawyer, worked as an outdoor advertising practitioner and was relatively unknown before going into the BBNaija house. Today, not only does she have 1.4million followers (and counting) on Instagram, she has become a fashion influencer and has worked with brands like Nairabet, Amstel Malta, Huawei Mobile and House of Lunettes. She recently launched her sportswear line, Cegar, which has so far been a major hit among her fanbase. Hate her or love her, you cannot deny her presence in the social media influencer space. She reportedly charges an average of N500,000 to advertise for brands on social media and her followers which she refers to as ‘spartans’ make a good study of celebrity fan love and loyalty. She is forever grateful to the platform BBNaija presented because according to her, “I probably would have never gotten elsewhere!”

In 2017, Uriel Oputa was an upcoming musician who needed the big platform that Big Brother Naija presented. During her time in the BBNaija See Gobbe house, Uriel was popular for her melodramatic yet entertaining diary sessions. After finishing in 9th position, Uriel bagged several endorsements and hosting gigs for some big brands such as Maggi, PayPorte, Pedini – Bosch Nigeria, Peak Milk etc. She currently has over 800 thousand followers on Instagram, a thriving wig business and is still a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry.

Perhaps the most fascinating thing about these ex-housemates is that none took the prize money home. They all dropped out of the competition at different stages and yet are celebrated successes in today’s pop culture. It goes without saying that the BBNaija platform is one that offers a plethora of opportunities.

On Friday, the lawyer had recounted her BBN journey on Instagram and also introduced the hair brand, which she tagged #modernwomacollection.

“Good afternoon beautiful people and Spartans alike,” she began.

“The LONG AWAITED 21st is here and as I reflect on the journey it took to get here, nothing but strings of tears flow down my cheeks.

“9 months ago, I was just a lawyer who got into the Big Brother House in hopes of gaining a platform and finding myself….… Little did I think or know, I will walk out into the loving arms of 900,000 + strangers who have become my family, my prayer warriors – the Great Spartans, who never for once, in my imperfections, gave up on me.

“Working on this project has not been easy and as it is the human nature, fear gripped me and I thought of giving up so many times.

“I must tell you a lot of hardwork, sleepless nights and brain storming has been put in to this to give you guys the absolute best…and I trust you will love it .

Cee-C had the second highest votes in the Big Brother Naija games but she did not go home with any monetary reward.

Unlike other finalists, and some housemates, she did not  win any of the sponsored tasks that could have earned her money gifts while she was in the house.

However, to  make sure that their favourite housemate did not go home empty handed, the fans declared her their ‘BBNaija 2018 Winner’ and rewarded her with a N2 million cheque.
