  • Fenwa, Sinach, Chioma, thrill worshipers at night of mercy

    It was a night of great harvest of souls as over 12, 000 Christians faithful gathered from across the country to grace the 2018 Night of Mercy, a programme filled with praise, worship, prophetic ministration and life changing testimonies. It was put together by Holy Ghost Christian Centre last week at the Gymnasium Hall, National Stadium, Lagos.

    Top great gospel artists took their turns to lead the congregation into deep worship and praises to God. Among the guest artistes were multiple award-winning gospel singer, Sinach, Chioma Jesus, Tope Alabi, Efe Nathan, The Paraclete Mass Choir, Xplicit Dancers, Gratitude and a host of other anointed ministers of the gospel.

    Speaking at the event, the convener and General Overseer of Holy Ghost Christian Centre, Dr. Amos Fenwa, said that the aim of the event was designed to present Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, as the final solution to all men and women in this decaying world of sin and dark forces.

    He said, “we want to lead the unsaved to the salvation of Christ, bring together a multi-generational, multi-ethnic and non-denominational congregation under one open heaven.”

    He noted that winning souls of men and women is the heart beat of God for every generation because salvation from sin, wickedness, unrighteousness attracts divine blessings and favour from God.

    He said that in Nigeria, “we have many reasons to thank God for and when we do with the whole of heart, God will prove himself mighty over every challenges of life.

    “We are presenting the stories of lives touched and changed by the power of the Holy Spirit through Amos Fenwa Ministries and  allied organisations, and added that “in our Church, we believe in the power of prayers. So, we always create time to pray for our nation. God speaks to us about our nation all the time.”

    There is no sound more harmonious than the jingles of wedding bells, no atmosphere more blissful than one permeated with the affection of lovers and no union more intimate than that of a man and woman in holy matrimony.

    On Saturday, April 9, 2016, friends and families of Eze Amuchie and Chioma Okonkwo witnessed the solemnisation of their holy matrimony at Our Saviour Church, Tafawa Balewa Square(TBS), Lagos. The wedding train was later moved to Landmark Events Centre, Victoria Island Extension, where a lavish reception was held.

    The groom, Eze, is the younger brother of Mr. Stanley Amuchie, the Chief Financial Officer of Zenith Bank Plc, while the bride, Chioma, is a younger sister of Chief Emma Bishop Okonkwo, OFR, the Chairman Ekulo Group of Companies Ltd.

    Chioma Akpotha set to make record

    NEW days to the much publicised #12KLLP walk by Nollywood actress Chioma Apoktha; a Sebeccly initiative to raise breast cancer awareness, the event, billed to hold at the Teslim Balogun Stadium (TBS), today, has been garnering massive awareness and responses.

    The actress, who was on the breakfast show, Your View, on TVC on Tuesday, stated that the project is borne out of a passion and love for humanity.

    According to the actress, the awareness which has received positive responses from people across the globe will have about 12,000 people trying to beat the world record of Human Beings forming a Cancer Pink Ribbon.

    “With 12,000 people trying to beat the world record of Human Beings forming a cancer pink ribbon! It will be happening in Lagos, Nigeria at the Teslim Balogun Stadium (TBS) on Saturday. This is a Sebeccly initiative to raise breast cancer awareness. This event is sponsored by individuals and corporate brands. We appreciate all our sponsors and hope to reach as many people as we can to reduce this disease called Breast Cancer,” she said.

    According to the actress, the most number of people to have formed the Pink Ribbon is put at 6,000, “but we hope to have about 15,000 to set a record. We also learnt that China has postponed theirs to December, I guess they want to see what we can come up with.”

    The actress/producer also noted that nobody has been asked to pay any cash to get the Pink T-shirt that will be used, as it is free for all. Fellow actress Ufuoma Mcdermott, has also added her voice to the campaign, stating; “I am delighted to express my support for the Sebeccly Cancer and Support Centre fund raising event called “Light Lagos Pink” on the 10th October 2015. This campaign is hosted by Sebeccly in partnership with the Lagos State Government with the sole aim of creating Breast Cancer Awarness. “

    Chioma Akpotha is a spokesperson for Sebeccly Cancer Care and team captain #TeamChioma who will need support to set the Guinness World Record #12KLLP attempt to form the largest human Pink Awarness Ribbon to be made up of at least 12,000 people.
