Covenant varsity inventions win awards in Brazil, South Korea

Covenant University (CU), Ota in Ogun State has taken its research products to research and invention exhibition fairs in faraway Brazil and South Korea, where it bagged awards for invention of latest technologies that promote creative and smart cities.

The university won awards for a ‘Solar Powered Weather Station,’ developed by Dr. Anthony Adoghe, ‘Green Luminaire,’ by Dr. Hope Orovwode, and an ‘Energy Retention Bag,’ by Prof Samuel Wara, all of the College of Engineering.

President, Nigerian Association of Inventors (NAI), Prince Shaka Momodu, who attended the Seoul International Invention Fair, in Seoul, Korea, and the UniAmerica, Global Exhibition of Inventions For Creative, Happy Human and Smart Cities, in Foz Do Iguacu, Brazil, late last year with the university’s research team, said the Solar Powered Weather Station and the Green Luminaire won in the Gold and Bronze categories.

The Director, Covenant University Centre for Research, Innovation and Discovery (CUCRID), Prof Samuel Wara, said the products had been winning awards at various exhibitions based on various ratings. “This simply lends credence to the value of the inventions in relation to meeting needs across different geographical locations,” he said.

In his remarks when he received the team and NAI, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Charles Ayo, congratulated the research team.  He noted that within three months, the Research Cluster headed by Wara, with the support of NAI, always came back with prizes wherever they represented the university.

This year, Ayo said the university desires more success in research, urging all members of the university community towards its goal of becoming a world class university in less than eight years.

He also said CU’s short term goal for the academic year, “Innovation, Product Development and Nation Building,” would focus on commercialization to get the public to enjoy the university’s inventions.

  • Understanding the healing covenant! (2)

Last week, we began this two-part series with the understanding that Jesus introduced Himself as the Great Physician. This is because all through Jesus’ earthly ministry, He never referred any case brought to Him. We also discovered that the Balm in Gilead, which is also the Word of God, is the great prescription of this Great Physician. However, it is not enough to find the Word that addresses our situation; we must apply same in faith before we enjoy the benefits thereof. Furthermore, we learnt that every provision of scriptures, including healing, health and wholeness are delivered based on covenant. In addition, we define what a covenant is and explored the vital terms attached to the healing Covenant. This week, we would examine with more terms that helps us to partake of the healing Covenant, which include:

    • Live on the Word: We must place ourselves on regular quality Word medications. This is because God’s Word carries God’s nature which is absolutely immune to sicknesses and diseases. In other words, the more of God’s Word we imbibe, the more of His divine nature we possess and that in turn guarantees our healing, health and wholeness.

In addition, it is important to know that God’s Word is the only medication in the world that heals all forms of sicknesses and diseases with zero side effects (Proverbs 4:20-22; Matthew 4:4).

    • Think Right: In this context, I mean think healthy thoughts, because the Bible says that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Therefore, don’t let the words of your doctors corrupt your mentality; instead, let God’s Word frame your thoughts and your wholeness shall be established cheaply (Proverbs 23:7).

Also, we don’t need anyone to pray for us before we can be made whole; all we need to do is take our covenant position in God and our healing shall be delivered. For instance, according to science, the moon doesn’t have a light of its own; it simply positions itself at a particular angle to the sun and shines. The sun generates all the heat, while the moon simply reflects all the glory. In the same vein, Jesus is the Sun of righteousness and God’s living Word; when we align our thoughts with what the Word says, we also take delivery of our wholeness. Remember, there is no irreversible case with God; therefore, align with His great prescription (3 John 1:2).

    • Speak Right: The Bible says that death and life are in the power of our tongues. Therefore, we must be careful of what we say because our words are like seeds; what we say today determines what we experience tomorrow.

Furthermore, the Bible says: …out of the abundance of our heart, our mouth speaks (Mathew 12:34; see also Psalms 34:11-13).

That means when we don’t have the abundance of God’s Word in our hearts, we cannot speak life to the issues that confront us. Remember, God’s Word is the light that has the capacity to shatter any darkness in our lives, including sicknesses and diseases. We must, therefore, engage it for the establishment of our healing, health and wholeness (Mark 11:23; Proverbs 18:21; John 1:4-5).

    • Be committed to Kingdom advancement endeavours: Our commitment to Kingdom advancement endeavours, which include reaching out to the lost and praying to see souls saved, and established in God’s Kingdom, entitles us to a healthy and prosperous life (Exodus 23:25-26; Proverbs 13:17; John 15:2).
    • Be committed to fellowship: As believers, Zion is our place of fellowship and the city of refuge that protects us from satanic assaults. Remember the Bible says:

But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions (Obadiah 1:17; see also Hebrews 10:25).

    • Rejoice in the Lord always: Being joyful invokes the mystery of health and wholeness on our lives (Proverbs 17:22; Nehemiah 8:10).
    • Refuse to be offended in God: We must understand that God is not the source of our afflictions, the devil is. When we see God as the source of our predicament and not our Healer, and Deliverer, we give room for the devil to afflict us. For instance, Job was offended in God and as a result, he remained in his afflictions until he repented and sought God for his healing. Therefore, we must never be offended in God, lest we remain in our afflictions forever (Job 13:15; Luke 17:1; John 10:10).

In addition, it is important to know that the Holy Communion, which includes the Flesh and the Blood of Jesus, is another prescription of the Great Physician.  When we partake of this mystery, we share the same Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) with Jesus and as such, our healing, health and wholeness are guaranteed (Matthew 26:26; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30).

Let’s recognize that Christianity only becomes profitable by taking covenant responsibilities. Though the price for our total health has been fully paid, its delivery is our responsibility. Just as our signature is required to withdraw from our individual bank accounts, each one’s faith is needed to take delivery of God’s healthcare provision for him/her in redemption (Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38). Therefore, as you engage the terms of the healing covenant in faith, I see God perfecting all that concerns your well-being and those of your loved ones in Jesus’ name! Remain ever blessed!

Have you given your life to Christ? Are you born again? If you are not yet, you can do so as you say this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!” For further reading, please get my books: The Healing Balm, Keys To Divine health, Miracle Seed, All You Need To Have All Your Needs Met, Exploring The Riches Of Redemption, Understanding Your Covenant Rights and Possessing Your Possession.

  • Awards for Covenant Varsity

Covenant University’s Department of Electrical & Information Engineering (EIE) has won awards for the innovation of energy retention bags, solar powered weather station and green luminaire at the World Invention and Innovation Forum, Yancheng, China.

The awards, which were presented to the University’s Management, were all in gold categories, except for the silver medal won by a student for inventing a ‘Step Manager.’

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Charles Ayo, said only divine wisdom could have facilitated such innovations, especially the ‘Energy Retention Bag’, which was made from easily accessible materials.

The Director, Covenant University Centre for Research, Innovation and Discovery (CUCRID), Professor Samuel Wara, appreciated the support of the University Management towards sustainable research endeavours.

Energy retention bags, invented by Wara, were made of durable thick cotton-based cloth, fitted with zippers and specifically processed lagging materials that make the bags retain cold or hot temperature.

  • Unveiling the Mystery of the Blood Covenant! (2)

Last week, we began this teaching by examining what Kingdom Mysteries are and how to engage them in order to partake of the blessings attached to them. We also identified engaging the Blood in prayers, via the Communion and the Passover Blood of Sprinkling as the three dimensions the Mystery of the Blood covenant.

This week, we will explore the Mystery of the Passover Blood of Sprinkling, how to apply same and what the benefits are.

First, it is important to understand that our battles in life are essentially spiritual and until we engage the mysteries of scriptures, we will continue to fight a lost cause. For instance, the Israelites were not held captive by Pharaoh, but the gods of Egypt. However, at the instance of the Blood, they were set free. It is written:

For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD (Exodus 12:12).

Unfortunately, there are many captives in the body of Christ because we are not familiar with this mystery yet.

Furthermore, we saw in scripture that the Blood of sprinkling is a forever ordinance to be practiced often. When Moses was passing God’s instruction to the Elders of Israel, he said:

And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons forever And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service (Exodus 12: 24-25).

This means the Blood of Sprinkling is an ordinance that will forever remain active.

What does this mystery guarantee us?

The Blood of sprinkling guarantees double restoration of all that we may have lost to the devil and his cohorts.  It is written:

As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water. Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even today do I declare that I will render double unto thee (Zechariah 9:9, 11-12).

As such, we are guaranteed restoration in the following aspects:

    • Business and Career Stagnations (Zechariah 1:17-21)
    • Sicknesses and Diseases (Luke 13:11-16)
    • All other satanic Oppressions and Bondages (Exodus 11:1; 12:12).
    • Marital Delays and Distortions (Psalms 68:6).

How do we apply the mystery of the Blood of Sprinkling?

It is worthy of note that the Passover Blood is not for drinking or for confession; it is for sprinkling. For instance, when a doctor or pharmacist prescribes medications, he tells you which one to inhale, drop in the ear or eye. The moment you swallow the one prescribed to be rubbed on your body, you have swallowed poison. Likewise, the Passover Blood is a sprinkling weapon of warfare against the devil and his cohorts.

In applying this mystery, we must understand that everything of value to us is “sprinklable” and “purgable” by the Blood of the Covenant, including ourselves. It is written:

For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission (Hebrews 9:19-22).

From the above scripture, we understand that whatsoever and whosoever we apply this mystery on, are exempted from the woes of life because the Lord will watch over same and defend them. As it is written:

As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water. …And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the LORD GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar (Zechariah 9:11-12, 14-15).

The mystery of the Blood Covenant is so essential in this wicked world and the days that we live in. Thus, it is expedient that we receive, believe and engage the demands of this mystery in order to command mastery over every force of the wicked. As you engage this Kingdom mystery, I see God set you free from every form of oppression as He did for the Israelites in the name of Jesus Christ! Remain ever blessed!

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord? If you haven’t, you can do so as you say this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!” For further reading, please get my books: The Blood Triumph, Miracle Meal and The Force Of Freedom.

  • Covenant uses Card Readers for exams

Covenant uses Card Readers for exams

Covenant University  has deployed Smart Card Readers in the conduct of the 2014/2015 Omega (Second) Semester examination.

University’s Director, Centre for Systems and Information Services Pastor Abolade Afolabi said the Smart Card Readers would help students to avoid the rigour of printing out Course Evaluation Forms and prevent malpractices.

A statement by the university said: “Prior to the Card Reader, students were expected to complete their course registration and clearance on the portal and print out the Evaluation Form, which are presented to invigilators at exams venue.

“However, with Card Readers, the challenges associated with registration and printing of Evaluation Forms have been eliminated. After students do evaluation on the portal, they will present their Identity Cards to the invigilators, who will then place the card on the reader to ascertain the student’s eligibility to write the exam.

“The Card Readers use a highly-secured cryptographic technology commonly used for devices that perform secure transactions, such as payment terminals. The devices contain Green List, that is names of students, who have been evaluated.”

Director, Academic Planning Unit, Dr. Akan Williams, added that with the Card Readers, examination malpractice had been curtailed because there would be no room for students to smuggle any material into the exam hall.

A 500-levelPetroleum Engineering student, Miss Zainab Titus, has won the   Undergraduate Category at the 2015 SPE Africa Students Technical Paper at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.

Miss Titus was selected through a rigorous process in which the SPE considered over 170 submitted abstracts from African students in universities across the continent.

She presented an abstract on “Analytical Model for Improving Completion Efficiency and Production Optimisation”, a newly developed diagnostic tool with wide industry applications.

The winners in both categories will represent Africa at the Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) in Houston, Texas, in September.

This was the first appearance of Covenant University in the contest.

  • Covenant is best in West Africa

Covenant is best in West Africa

Covenant University (CU), Ota, Ogun State, has emerged the No.1 university in West Africa and 15th in Africa, according to two renowned ranking agencies-Webometrics and Repositories.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Charles K Ayo, said the rankings revalidate the fulfillment of the ‘Vision 2022: One of 10-in-10’, a mandate which was handed over to him when CU commemorated its 10th anniversary.

He said: “As soon as we were given the mandate, we were mindful of that mandate. We embarked on it full throttle.

“We took cognisance of the ranking agencies, and embarked on an eight-point agenda targeted towards the fulfillment of the vision. With the attained feat, we are convinced that we are set to conquer the world.

“It’s not easy leading a revolution. We witnessed much criticism from the public, particularly on the dress code. Some labelled us a glorified secondary school but we were undaunted because we believed the process would definitely inform the product.

“We raise kings and queens here. But we are happy that now a number of universities adopt our dress code though they may not be able to enforce it the same way we do.”

Ayo noted that CU began academic activities in 2002, pioneering some innovations, such as the introduction of entrepreneurial education, abolishing a pass degree, introducing dress code as well as a certificate in leadership (diploma), which all graduates of the university must acquire alongside their course of study.

Webometrics is the largest academic ranking of higher education institutions, comprising about 2,500 institutions globally. The agency considers factors, such as openness, impact, web presence and excellence as parameters for ranking.

Repositories ranking  supports open access initiatives and offers free access to scientific publications in an electronic form and other academic materials.

  • The Covenant Of Rewards! (5)

Welcome to this last part of our teaching for the month. So far, I know God has touched you positively, during the course of this teaching.

As I conclude this teaching, I will be doing a recap of all I told you this month, because of the sensitive nature and the importance of the covenant of rewards.

In the first week, I said God is neither a task master nor the user of people. He is a Rewarder! He has not called us to serve Him in vain. When we serve Him accordingly, His reward and blessings are inevitable in our lives and families (Exodus 23:25-26). God does not speak empty words! He means what He says and says what He means! Remember that we serve a covenant-keeping God

A covenant, as it were, is like a contract. So, it involves two or more people. In this case, it involves just you and God. God is the Covenantor and you are the covenantee – you are the beneficiary of the deal. All you need then is a good understanding of what the covenant entails, and you’ll be a beneficiary of God’s rewards for your service to Him.

Also, I showed you a fundamental requirement of the covenant of rewards, which is faithfulness. If you are faithful in your stewardship, God will reward you accordingly (Ephesians 6:6-8).

During the second week, I showed you three requirements of the covenant of rewards – diligence, continuity and consistency. If you sow sparingly, you reap sparingly; but if you sow bountifully, you reap bountifully. When you serve God diligently, you will be rewarded lavishly (Hebrews 11:6).

For continuity, I said rendering your service unto God on a continuous basis, is a requirement for the covenant of rewards. Recognize that as you embark on your continuous service unto God, there could be temptations from your mockers, relations and circumstances of life (Luke 22:28-29). They would rear their ugly heads, just to discourage you from your continuous services to God. Don’t forget that continuity is a vital rule of the game.

Also, on consistency, I said Abraham was strong in faith giving glory to God, not casting aspersions on God or people. “He staggered not,” which connotes consistency! Never get to a point where God becomes untrue to you! I know for long that God does not need me; it is me that need Him! So, remain steadfast (1 Corinthians 15:58). That is the rule that entitles you to the rewards. I am too sure of God’s reward system; no devil can confuse me of this reality in my life. So, receive grace for steadfastness, in the name of Jesus!

On the third week, I taught on two requirements of the covenant of rewards – rendering your service cheerfully and letting your stewardship be love-motivated. Recognize that our rewards are reserved for us, until we are properly positioned. We need to be joyful, while rendering our services to God (Joel 1:11-12). There are many whose rewards are just wasting, simply because their joy level is nothing to reckon with (Joel 1:11-12).

Also, if you must qualify for God’s rewards, your stewardship must be love-motivated. The Bible says: And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries…and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor… and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing (1 Corinthians 13:2-3).

Your love for God must be the livewire of your stewardship. Love is a facilitator of all the vital forces required. Whatever service you are rendering, let your love for God be your primary motivator. Love should be the motivation for your stewardship. Please let your stewardship be love-motivated, if you must be entitled to God’s rewards without hindrance.

During the fourth week, I considered two requirements of the covenant of rewards – rendering your service sacrificially and the need for endurance in your quest for rewards. Note that every great season of reward is preceded by a great season of sacrifice in your stewardship. So, do not expect to reap rewards until you are prepared to offer genuine sacrifice in tour service.

Also, endurance is the identity of men of prominence. It is a required quality in your stewardship for rewards in life.

Friend, the grace to key into the above, is for those who are born again. You become born again, by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Say this prayer in faith: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You, for saving me! Now, I know I am born again!” I will continue this teaching next week.

Every exploit in life is a product of knowledge. For further reading, please get my books: Born To Win and Understanding Your Covenant Right.

From December 9-13, the story of many lives will be re-written at SHILOH 2014 tagged, Heaven On Earth. Shiloh is a historic and prophetic gathering of the Winners’ family, coming up at Faith Tabernacle, Canaan Land, Idiroko Road, Ota. Come for a change of status! Jesus Is Lord!

I know this teaching has blessed you. Write and share your testimony with me through: Faith Tabernacle, Canaan Land, Ota, P.M.B. 21688, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria; or call 7747546-8; or E-mail: feedback@lfcww.org

  • The Covenant Of Rewards! (4)

Last week, I considered two more requirements of the covenant of rewards – rendering service cheerfully and your service being love-motivated. You need to be joyful while rendering your services to God. There are many whose rewards are just wasting, simply because their joy level is nothing to reckon with.

Also, I said if you must qualify for God’s rewards, your stewardship must be love-motivated. Please let your stewardship be love-motivated, if you must be entitled to God’s rewards without hindrance.

This week, I will yet show you other requirements of the covenant of rewards –

•Render your service sacrificially: The Word of God says: Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit (John 12:24). The grace for sacrifice is the path to significant rewards.  The reason there are too many mediocres in the Church, is because most people sit down with folded hands, waiting for something to happen.

We are co-labourers with God, and until our part is fulfilled, God is not committed to doing His part.  For instance, there may be two individuals working in the same organization and earning the same salary.  But one has built a house, without stealing, while the other has built his stomach.

The first man knows the rule of game, so he regulates and disciplines his taste, sacrificing every luxury, in order to have a shelter over his head. But the other man is not willing to sacrifice anything.  He eats all and keeps wishing for one day when a building would drop from the sky, with his name written on it. Of course, that day will never come, because the Bible says every house is built by some man (Hebrews 3:4).

There must first be a dying, before living can be colourful. There must first be sincere stewardship, before you can reap your rewards. Therefore, get ready to give your stewardship what it takes to succeed in life, so that you do not end up as a Prodigal Christian. Place value on your time and every covenant resources at your disposal, and invest them appropriately as a person who is in a race and is determined to get the prize (reward).

Note that every great season of reward is preceded by a great season of sacrifice in your stewardship. So, do not expect to reap rewards until you are prepared to sacrifice whatever will qualify you for the rewards you anticipate. Remember, a man can only reap what he has sown.

However, nothing empowers a sacrificial life like love (Romans 8:35-38). There is no star without a scar. Sacrifice entails going the extra mile and investing to make something happen (John 10:18). It is your sacrificial input that makes a star out of you, and your reward is sure! You won’t be foot-dragging; you will sacrificially be forging ahead because your reward is sure!

It is not late to re-position, to ensure your reward reaches you. Once you re-position yourself, God will focus His rewards on you because of your stewardship.

    • You need endurance: The law of endurance is a cardinal law in the journey to your rewards. It is the price you pay to ascend your throne, as everything precious comes out of pressures. Proverbs 27:21 says: As the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise.  How much heat you are willing to endure today, determines how high you will fly tomorrow.

The Church is full of earthen vessels, but a few gold and silver, because not many people are willing to endure the heat of the furnace and the pressures of the refining pot.  But those who take shortcuts in life end up having their lives cut short, and those who dodge the heat miss the height.

Endurance is the identity of men of prominence. It is a required quality in your stewardship for rewards in life. Unless a man strives lawfully in a race, he cannot win the prize. Think of this! It is my prayer that you will receive grace from heaven to give your service what it takes, so you can make the most of it.  You will not miss your reward, in Jesus’ name!

Friend, the power for endurance and sacrificial stewardship is for those born again. You become born again, by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. If you are set for this, please say this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Cleans me with Your Blood. Forgive me of my sins. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You, for saving me! Now, I know I am born again!” I will conclude this teaching next week.

Every exploit in life is a product of knowledge. For further reading, please get my books: Born To Win and Understanding Your Covenant Rights.

  • The covenant of rewards! (3)

Welcome to your regular column. I started this teaching a fortnight ago. In the first week, I explained what a covenant is. By way of refreshing your memory, I said a covenant is like a contract, involving two or more people.

In this case, it involves just you and God. God is the Covenantor and you are the covenantee — you are the beneficiary of the deal. All you need then is a good understanding of what the covenant entails, and you’ll be a beneficiary of God’s rewards for your stewardship to Him. Also, I considered faithfulness, as a vital requirement of the covenant of rewards.

At the second week, I taught on diligence, continuity and consistency as requirements of the covenant of rewards. On diligence, I said God is a Rewarder of all those who diligently seek and serve Him (Hebrews 11:6). When you serve God diligently, you will be rewarded openly.

On continuity, I cautioned that you should never mind your mockers! Stay On! Continuity is a vital rule in your quest for full rewards (Luke 22:29). As long as you are not tired of rendering your continuous stewardship, in spite of temptations, God won’t be tired of dazing you with unstoppable rewards.

Finally, on consistency, I said you should never get to a point where God becomes untrue to you!

In continuation of that teaching this week, I will consider other requirements of the covenant of rewards –

Rendering service cheerfully: Recognize that our rewards are reserved for us, until we are properly positioned. The Word of God says: Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee (Deuteronomy 28:47-48).

You need to be joyful while rendering your services to God. Joel 1:11-12 says: Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished. The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men. There are many whose rewards are just wasting, simply because their joy level is nothing to reckon with.

God’s Word says: And the burden of the Lord shall ye mention no more: for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God (Jeremiah 23:36). If you see stewardship as a burden, you have lost the rewards and blessings from God.

There is nothing of real value that will not require patience. After you have patiently waited, you will eventually have the reward. So, endeavour to be cheerful at all times, if you must be entitled to your rewards. May the oil of joy come afresh upon your life today, in the name of Jesus Christ! Remember, it is never late to be right!

Your stewardship must be love-motivated: If you must qualify for God’s rewards, your stewardship must be love-motivated.

  • The Covenant Of Rewards!

    The Covenant Of Rewards!

Welcome to November, your month of total recovery and the season of blessings. God will visit you in a special way this month and you shall not miss any of His blessings, in Jesus’ Name!

This week, I shall be teaching on The Covenant Of Rewards. Many are excellent in their services and fields of endeavour, yet every opportunity for lifting passes them by. Why is this so? It is either they are not playing the game according to the rules or they lack what it takes to make them change levels through rewards of stewardship.

Hear this: God is neither a task master nor the user of people. He is a Rewarder! He has not called us to serve Him in vain. When we serve Him accordingly, His reward and blessings are inevitable in our lives and families.

The Bible says: And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil (Exodus 23:25-26). God does not speak empty words! He means what He says and says what He means! Remember that we serve a covenant-keeping God (Jeremiah 33:22, 25).

But then, what is a covenant?

A covenant, as it were, is like a contract. So, it involves two or more people. In this case, it involves just you and God. God is the Covenantor and you are the covenantee – you are the beneficiary of the deal. All you need then is a good understanding of what the covenant entails, and you’ll be a beneficiary of God’s rewards for your service to Him. Psalm 89:34 says: My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. This scripture will help to establish your confidence in the covenant.

God is a covenant keeper. His side of every covenant is forever secured; it is our side that is variable. But when we lay hold on the terms that relate to us, and apply ourselves to them, God is committed. When we are on key with the terms of the covenant, we have committed God to act.

So, we are the initiator of God’s intervention in our lives. We initiate the rewards by our stewardship. Recognize that reward is not a ‘dash;’ it is a response to our input. God is a Rewarder of those who diligently serve Him. It is important to know the vital terms of the covenant.

What is the fundamental requirement of the covenant of rewards:

•Faithfulness: A fundamental requirement of the covenant of rewards is faithfulness. First Corinthians 4:1-2 says: Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. So, it is required that you and I be found faithful, sincere and truthful. Who is a faithful servant? Answer to this question can be seen in the Book of Matthew 24:45-46.

If you are faithful as a servant (of God) you will be rewarded. Your service must not be seen as ‘eye-service.‘ Ephesians 6:6-8 says: Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;  With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

Note that faithfulness is of the heart, while ‘facefulness’ is of the outside! That is why the Bible cautions that you should “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life,” (Proverbs 4:23). So, faithfulness is a fundamental requirement for rewards in the covenant of service for rewards.

Friend, the power to access rewards of service from God is the preserve of those who are redeemed. Are you born again? You become born again by confessing your sins, forsaking them and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.

You can be born again right now, if you haven’t been, by saying this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. I cannot help myself. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan, to serve the Living God. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You, for saving me! Now, I know I am born again!” I will continue this teaching next week.
